This is a six-month virtual 20K Nordic Walking Series.
The series includes six separate monthly 20K events from July through December 2026.
Each monthly event has its own official result.
Approved results earn points toward the overall season standings.
Final series awards will be based on cumulative points earned across the season.

Series Description
2026 NWANA OPEN 20K NORDIC WALKING SERIES
The 2026 NWANA Open 20K Nordic Walking Series is a virtual competition series organized by the Nordic Walking Association of North America.
The Series is open worldwide and consists of multiple official 20K stages held throughout the 2026 season.
Participants complete one official 20K Nordic Walking effort during each stage, submit their result online, and receive an approved result that becomes part of the official NWANA competition record.
PERFORMANCE LEVELS
Every approved 20K result is classified according to the following standards:
Elite — under 2:20:00
High Performance — under 2:30:00
Performance — under 2:40:00
Competitive — under 2:50:00
Open — 2:50:00+
HOW IT WORKS
A Performance Level is assigned separately to every approved result. An athlete may therefore compete in different Performance Levels during the same season as performance changes.
Men and women are ranked separately within each Performance Level. Level Place shows the athlete’s position within their Performance Level and gender for that stage.
SEASON STANDINGS
Approved results earn points within the athlete’s Performance Level and gender. Because each result is classified independently, an athlete may accumulate points in more than one Performance Level during the season.
If athletes are tied on season points within the same Performance Level and gender, the faster approved result is used as the tie-breaker.
STRICT TIME BOUNDARIES
All under standards are strict. The result must be faster than the listed time to qualify for that level.
For 20K, 2:19:59 qualifies for Elite, while exactly 2:20:00 is classified in High Performance.
OFFICIAL RESULT REQUIREMENTS
This is an official results-based competition series, not a flexible activity challenge. Official results must be completed as one continuous effort without rest breaks or stopped-time breaks.
Nordic Walking poles are required for official Nordic Walking results.
After completing your monthly NWANA Nordic Walking Series event, use the RunSignup virtual results link to submit your result. For official standings, you must upload acceptable activity data, such as a GPX or FIT file from Garmin, Strava, Coros, Polar, Suunto, Apple Watch, or another tracking platform.
No. Official NWANA Series results must be completed as one continuous effort without rest breaks or stopped-time breaks. NWANA may review elapsed time, moving time, distance, pace, route/activity data, and heart rate when available. Results are not final until approved by NWANA.

A NWANA license is not required to register unless stated for a specific event. Licensed NWANA athletes may be eligible for registration discounts, rankings eligibility, education access, and other benefits as NWANA programs expand.
You may register before the event. The official activity must be completed on the event date. Result submission is open on the event date and the following day, according to the dates shown for that event in RunSignup.
